Four dogs move into the tree

Honey Bee Acres Barksters & Tree House

The Barksters dog family boxed with the twenty-one-piece Two-Story Tree House and its exclusive squirrel — five figures and two storeys up a trunk.

One box from the Honey Bee Acres line of flocked animal family playsets.

What is in the box

Bundle	Barksters dog family (4 figures) and Two-Story Tree House (21 pieces)
Figures	5 flocked figures, including the squirrel
Treehouse	11.3 in H x 7.5 in L x 10.8 in W
Ages	3 and up

The treehouse arrives already occupied by a squirrel, and the dogs turn up as the new family. There is a slide down one side, swinging chairs, pretend food and a basket lift you crank by hand, which is the part that keeps being demonstrated to visitors.

It stands a little over eleven inches high with a footprint of roughly seven and a half by eleven, so it lives on a shelf rather than taking the floor. All five figures are posable at head, arms and legs with outfits that come off and swap.

This is a paired box rather than a new idea: the dog family and the tree house, packed together. Honey Bee Acres normally sells its animal families and playsets individually, and the pairs exist for the moment when one present has to do the work of two — here that means a household and an address with no walls. Nothing inside is exclusive to the pair; each half is the same box sold on its own elsewhere in the line, with the same three-inch poseable figures, the same interchangeable clothing and furniture and accessories at the one scale this flocked animal toys world has kept for years.

Honey Bee Acres is made and distributed by Sunny Days Entertainment. It belongs to a tradition of flocked animal toys that reached collectors from Japan decades ago and has barely changed since: round ears, soft coats and furniture cut to fit. Boxes are sold individually, so the village grows one at a time, and every poseable three-inch character shares the clothing, furniture and accessories of the whole line — one scale this animal toys world has held to for years.
