The school and the bus that fills it

Honey Bee Acres Meadow School & School Bus

The twenty-one-piece Sunshine Meadow School boxed with the Sunshine School Bus and two flocked figures — the only pairing on this shelf that completes a morning routine.

One box from the Honey Bee Acres line of flocked animal family playsets.

What is in the box

Bundle	Sunshine Meadow School (21 pieces) and Sunshine School Bus
Figures	2 flocked figures
Bus	13.25 in L, 8 seats plus driver, lights and sounds, batteries included
School	Real bell, spinning globe, pivoting chalkboard, slide and swing
Ages	3 and up

The bus is just over thirteen inches long with eight passenger seats, a driver's seat, doors at both ends and working lights and sounds, and it parks against a schoolhouse of almost exactly the same length. Pick the village up, drive it across the rug, unload it at the gate: that is the whole game and it never gets old.

Batteries are included, the tyres and steering wheel turn, and the school brings its teacher fox, desks, globe, chalkboard, easel, slide, swing and the real bell. Both figures are posable at head, arms and legs with removable clothing.

This is a paired box rather than a new idea: the school and the school bus, packed together. Honey Bee Acres normally sells its animal families and playsets individually, and the pairs exist for the moment when one present has to do the work of two — here that means a classroom and the thing that fills it. Nothing inside is exclusive to the pair; each half is the same box sold on its own elsewhere in the line, with the same three-inch poseable figures, the same interchangeable clothing and furniture and accessories at the one scale this flocked animal toys world has kept for years.

Honey Bee Acres is made and distributed by Sunny Days Entertainment. It belongs to a tradition of flocked animal toys that reached collectors from Japan decades ago and has barely changed since: round ears, soft coats and furniture cut to fit. Boxes are sold individually, so the village grows one at a time, and every poseable three-inch character shares the clothing, furniture and accessories of the whole line — one scale this animal toys world has held to for years.
