Inside the eight-inch, two-storey shell there is a chair, a bed, a toy box with toys in it, a table and a tea cup with its saucer. The exclusive cat figure is Chloe herself — three inches tall, posable at the head, arms and legs, in a printed dress that comes off for fashion play.
The cottage reads as a proper first house rather than an accessory: it opens up, it holds furniture, and it has an upstairs that children immediately claim as the good bedroom. Figures and furniture from the rest of this line drop straight in, and so do figures of the same scale from other makers.
The cottage is the first address most villages get, and the rest of the line is built to visit it. It arrives with one exclusive figure, which means the animal families — sold individually elsewhere on this site — are what fill the rooms. The furniture and accessories inside are cut for three-inch poseable figures, so any character from any Honey Bee Acres box can take the upstairs bed or the chair by the fire without looking like a visitor from another world.
Honey Bee Acres is made and distributed by Sunny Days Entertainment. It belongs to a tradition of flocked animal toys that reached collectors from Japan decades ago and has barely changed since: round ears, soft coats and furniture cut to fit. Boxes are sold individually, so the village grows one at a time, and every poseable three-inch character shares the clothing, furniture and accessories of the whole line — one scale this animal toys world has held to for years.
