Twenty-one pieces and a bell that rings

Honey Bee Acres Sunshine Meadow School

A schoolhouse with a pivoting chalkboard, a globe that spins, a slide and a swing in the yard, and a fox in a teacher's outfit who is clearly in charge.

One box from the Honey Bee Acres line of flocked animal family playsets.

What is in the box

Set	Schoolhouse, 21 pieces
Size	13.5 in L x 7.75 in W x 9.5 in H assembled
Includes	Art easel, desks, spinning globe, pivoting chalkboard, slide, swing, real bell
Figure	Exclusive teacher fox, 3 in, posable
Ages	3 and up

Assembled it measures about thirteen and a half inches long, nearly eight deep and nine and a half high, and it opens up so small hands can reach the desks without knocking the art easel over. The bell is a real one. Children find it within about four seconds of the lid coming off.

The teacher fox is exclusive to this set and stands three inches with the usual posable head, arms and legs. Everything inside is scaled to the families on this site, so a classroom fills up the moment a second box arrives — which is exactly how most of these schools end up with more pupils than chairs.

A school is the building that makes a village feel populated, because it needs pupils and the line sells its animal families individually. One exclusive teacher comes in the box; everyone at the desks is a figure a child already owns or will ask for. The furniture, the easel and the smaller accessories are all scaled to three-inch poseable characters, which is the single rule that holds the whole Honey Bee Acres world together.

Honey Bee Acres is made and distributed by Sunny Days Entertainment. It belongs to a tradition of flocked animal toys that reached collectors from Japan decades ago and has barely changed since: round ears, soft coats and furniture cut to fit. Boxes are sold individually, so the village grows one at a time, and every poseable three-inch character shares the clothing, furniture and accessories of the whole line — one scale this animal toys world has held to for years.
