Ava's party, fifteen pieces deep

Honey Bee Acres Birthday Wishes Party Set

A table, chairs, balloons, a cake that comes apart into slices, plates and a gift bag — a birthday that can be thrown again every single day.

One box from the Honey Bee Acres line of flocked animal family playsets.

The sliceable cake is the detail that earns its keep: cutting it, serving it and putting it back together is a complete game on its own. Balloons, plates and a gift bag fill in the rest, in neutral tones with rainbow accents rather than a single loud colour.

Ava is the exclusive two-and-a-quarter-inch flocked cat, posable at head, arms and legs, in removable clothing. The whole set measures under six inches long and weighs about a third of a pound, so it stores in a drawer and travels in a handbag. Small pieces mean it suits a child past the mouthing stage.

A birthday is the smallest complete story the line sells, and it needs guests — which is what the animal families, sold individually across this site, are for. Ava comes in the box; everyone at the table arrives from somewhere else. The furniture is two chairs and a table, the rest is accessories, and all of it is cut for three-inch poseable characters, so the party can be held in any building in the village.

Honey Bee Acres is made and distributed by Sunny Days Entertainment. It belongs to a tradition of flocked animal toys that reached collectors from Japan decades ago and has barely changed since: round ears, soft coats and furniture cut to fit. Boxes are sold individually, so the village grows one at a time, and every poseable three-inch character shares the clothing, furniture and accessories of the whole line — one scale this animal toys world has held to for years.
