Dottie has the green thumb

Honey Bee Acres Time to Garden

Sixteen pieces of garden: a wheelbarrow, hand tools, and a trellis whose flowers and vegetables lift out so the whole plot can be planted again tomorrow.

One box from the Honey Bee Acres line of flocked animal family playsets.

What is in the box

Set	Garden set, 16 pieces
Includes	Wheelbarrow, garden tools, trellis with removable flowers and vegetables
Figure	Exclusive Dottie, 2.25 in flocked rabbit, posable
Ages	3 and up

The replanting is what makes this set last. Everything that grows on the trellis is removable, so a child can sow, water, harvest and start over without the set ever reaching a finished state. The wheelbarrow carries the crop off to whichever kitchen is currently open.

Dottie is the exclusive rabbit, two and a quarter inches, posable at head, arms and legs, in removable clothing. Nothing needs batteries or building. It is the cheapest way into this line that still gives a child a job to do rather than just a character to hold.

The garden is the cheapest way to give a village something to do, and it leans on the families rather than replacing them. One exclusive figure arrives in the box; the rest of the characters come from the animal families sold individually elsewhere on this site. Tools, pots and the small accessories are cut for three-inch poseable figures, the scale that has held this corner of the flocked animal toys world together for years.

Honey Bee Acres is made and distributed by Sunny Days Entertainment. It belongs to a tradition of flocked animal toys that reached collectors from Japan decades ago and has barely changed since: round ears, soft coats and furniture cut to fit. Boxes are sold individually, so the village grows one at a time, and every poseable three-inch character shares the clothing, furniture and accessories of the whole line — one scale this animal toys world has held to for years.
