Mia's secret recipe

Honey Bee Acres Sweet & Sour Lemonade Stand

Nine pieces: a stand, bowls of fruit, a lemonade dispenser and cups, and a dog who claims the tart lemon and sweet strawberry mix is hers alone.

One box from the Honey Bee Acres line of flocked animal family playsets.

What is in the box

Set	Lemonade stand, 9 pieces
Includes	Stand, bowls of fruit, lemonade dispenser, cups
Figure	Exclusive Mia, 2.25 in flocked dog, posable
Ages	3 and up

The dispenser and the cups are the heart of it — serving is a loop a small child can repeat for an hour, and the bowls of fruit give the loop a beginning. The stand has a counter to sit behind, which is all a story needs to acquire customers.

Mia is the exclusive flocked dog, two and a quarter inches, posable at head, arms and legs, in clothing that comes off and swaps with the rest of the village. The set is small, light and compatible with the larger environments here, so it tends to end up parked outside the schoolhouse at break time.

A lemonade stand is a single scene rather than a household, and the line is built so that a single scene is enough: the animal families are sold individually and walk up to it. Its exclusive figure runs the counter, the accessories are small enough to lose and cheap enough to replace, and everything is scaled to the same three-inch poseable characters as the furniture in every other Honey Bee Acres box.

Honey Bee Acres is made and distributed by Sunny Days Entertainment. It belongs to a tradition of flocked animal toys that reached collectors from Japan decades ago and has barely changed since: round ears, soft coats and furniture cut to fit. Boxes are sold individually, so the village grows one at a time, and every poseable three-inch character shares the clothing, furniture and accessories of the whole line — one scale this animal toys world has held to for years.
