Honey Bee Acres The Cheddars Mouse Family
A mouse household of four with names worth saying out loud, cut small enough that the whole family fits inside a shoebox dollhouse and still looks like it belongs there.
One box from the Honey Bee Acres line of flocked animal family playsets.
| Figures | 4 flocked mice: 2 parents, 2 kids |
|---|---|
| Heights | Parents 3.375 in, daughter 2.625 in, baby 2 in |
| Posable | Head, arms and legs |
| Outfits | Removable and interchangeable |
| Ages | 3 and up |
The parents measure a little over three inches, daughter Phoebe just over two and a half, and Nibbles comes in at two inches flat — the smallest of the four and the one most likely to go missing under a sofa cushion. All four have the soft flocked coat that gives these figures their odd, pleasant weight in the hand.
Clothing is removable and swaps with every other character here, so dress-up play costs nothing extra. The carton is compact, roughly seven inches square and barely two deep, which makes this an easy set to post, wrap or hide on top of a wardrobe until the right morning arrives.
The Cheddars are the smallest animal in the line by looks and the busiest by use: mice suit the shops and the errands better than anyone. Honey Bee Acres sells its families individually, which is why the mice turn up in so many villages as household number two. Their clothing swaps with every other character, the figures are poseable at head, arms and legs, and the furniture of any building here is sized for them.
Honey Bee Acres is made and distributed by Sunny Days Entertainment. It belongs to a tradition of flocked animal toys that reached collectors from Japan decades ago and has barely changed since: round ears, soft coats and furniture cut to fit. Boxes are sold individually, so the village grows one at a time, and every poseable three-inch character shares the clothing, furniture and accessories of the whole line — one scale this animal toys world has held to for years.
